The Giants exchanged a world-class wide receiver for Cleveland for one Mut 24 coins of the first round picks in 2019 (17th overall) and a third-round 2019 selection as well as the safety Jabrill Peppers. (Btw an additional player for player trade! Yay.)Denard Robinson, Offensive weapon, Jacksonville Jaguars
The title of offensive weapon should make Denard Robinson an intriguing player to observe during training camp. The Jaguars have classified their fifth-round selection as such following the fact that Denard Robinson's former Michigan quarterback declared himself an offensive weapon in minicamps with teammates. Robinson is a shrewd player with plenty of movement in an open field and the vision for a productive football player with the Jaguars. The team's coaching staff has come up with ways to use his skills however that's what makes Robinson such a fascinating case study.
Tharold Simon, cornerback Seattle Seahawks
Tharold Simon was a bit dreadful during his final year at LSU. A solid cornerback with the ability to cover the press, Simon was constantly exposed for his inability to use quick foot and lean hips. Lucky for Simon that the Seahawks love strong, athletic cornerbacks. Simon's season as a cornerback at LSU an indication of his talent, or can the Seahawks find a way to make him an impressive cover player like they have so many other players?
Johnathan Franklin and Eddie Lacy, Running backs, Green Bay Packers
Fantasy football players will be watching the Packers running back's situation with a close eye through the training camp and the preseason. Rookies Eddie Lacy and Johnathan Franklin are likely to share the load of the Green Bay backfield as they have different strengths. But one of these running backs may be able to separate himself during the preseason.
Quanterus Smith, Defensive end/Outside linebacker, Denver Broncos
Quanterus Smith would have earned more pre-draft buzz if he didn't tear his ACL near the end to his season as a senior. Smith is one of the most technically advanced players in the draft class, however the Broncos are hoping he maintains his explosiveness following his season-ending knee injury. Is he able to be a part of training camp? If so, how successful will he be?
Cornellius Carradine, Defensive end, San Francisco 49ers
Another injury scenario worth observing during the beginning of the season could be 49ers rookie Tank Carradine and his ACL injury. He was recovering at a remarkable pace leading up to the draft. But what will he do to deal with the demands of a Madden NFL 24 training camp? A fit Carradine within the 49ers defense appears to be unfairsince he's got the ability to stick his hands in the ground and rise to take on the passer. He would have been a first-rounder had it not been for his knee injury.
Tyler Bray, Quarterback, Kansas City Chiefs
Character concerns have been given new importance when it comes to Madden NFL 24 teams after these events over the past few offseasons. Tyler Bray went undrafted because due to issues with his maturity. He could have landed in the perfect place. New Chiefs director Andy Reid has proven to be a dependable mentor to troubled players throughout his time with the team. Bray's physical ability is immense however, he must develop to be ready for it onto the Chiefs roster. If he doesn't make it as the third quarterback of the team the team will be saying much about his character.
Da'Rick Rogers, Wide Receiver, Buffalo Bills
Another phenomenal talent that was not drafted due to issues off the field includes wide receiver Da'Rick Rodgers. Rogers was kicked out of Tennessee for failure to pass drug tests and banging heads with the coaching staff. He's fast, big and has the ability to make plays following the catch, but the Bills aren't investing in Rogers, as a player who is not drafted. This means the Bills will have to walk in a very narrow path and will need to be able to complete everything off the field in order to make it onto the roster.
D.J. Fluker, Offensive Tackle, San Diego Chargers
Philip Rivers can attest to the extent to which the Chargers' offensive line struggled in 2012. First-round selection D.J. Fluker will be in a position to get a spot among the league's worst fronts. Fluker isn't a good fit for left tackle because of his feet that are heavy and he could be a struggle at right tackle in the beginning of his career. He will have an opportunity to play in the early stages, but will he be well-prepared?
Cordarrelle Patterson, Wide Receiver, Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings are hoping Cordarrelle Patterson can ease his loss Percy Harvin. Patterson's a playmaker who has the ball at his grasp, however, he's not as good as Harvin in most aspects in his play. In the preseason, Vikings are likely to put Patterson's hands full in order to prepare him for Madden NFL 24 fast. It'll be interesting to determine how they are able to bring him into the game.
Ziggy Ansah and Defensive End Ziggy Ansah Detroit Lions
The word "raw" was used in almost every discussion about BYU defensive end Ezekiel Ansah, prior to his selection in the Madden NFL 24 Draft. His combination of speed and strength earned him a spot in the top five this position is accompanied by the expectation of being a key contributor early on. Based on how fast Ansah has progressed in his college career The next chapter of his career is sure to be interesting to follow.
Brian Schwenke, Center, Tennessee Titans
The inside of the Titans' offensive line has been a major problem for the team over the recent seasons, but it won't be any longer after Tennessee made a deal with guard Andy Levitre and drafted Alabama guard Chance Warmack with the No. 10 pick in April's draft. But, fourth-round selection Brian Schwenke, a center out of California and the state of California, is the interior lineman to watch during the training camp. He was described being a "ordinary tools" player, but he could be able to get a chance at being a starter from day one.
Peterson is not a good candidate to quit.
Adrian Peterson erased any and all past and future doubts about his capability to heal quickly after he was a rout for 84 yards, and two touchdowns in Week 1 this season, only eight months after undergoing major surgery to repair a torn MCL and ACL. But news came out this week that Peterson isn't fully recovered from hernia surgery he had in January, however, the team is hopeful that he will be back on time for OTAs in May, or even voluntary workouts in late April. Visit Daily Norseman for more on the Vikings.
Time running over on Revis trade
On the field with Keenan Allen and Keenan. Allen's Madden 24 Nation was on the field at Cal wide receiver's Tuesday practice day on Tuesday in North Carolina. What can Allen's results tell us concerning his Madden NFL 24 future?
It's likely that the New York Jets won't have Darrelle Revis beyond the 2013 season, and that's the fact that's known. This is why the team would like to move him off the team now however the likelihood of winning 2012 Madden NFL 24 Draft picks gets slimmer every day. With the draft just a couple weeks away, the time for a solution is closing. For the recovering Jets this should be an absolute priority.
Russell who is drawing interest?
Whatever happens, whether or not JaMarcus Russell will actually complete his comeback to the Madden NFL 24. nobody can deny the fact that he's giving it some effort This time. On Tuesday, news broke that both the Chicago Bears and Arizona Cardinals are showing the highest interest in Russell during the offseason. If he were to be signed to either of them, it would certainly be exciting and especially when you consider that Russell might be able to be a contender with the Cardinals.
Winston dissatisfied with free agency
The offensive tackle of the free agent Eric Winston is "frustrated" about how free agency has progressed so far. Winston is insistent that he's overvaluing himself by asking for around $3-4 million per season.
Blog A Blog About Boys: Winston, Cowboys are talking
It was a thriving offensive tackle class in the beginningof the year, and the next draft is extremely wide at the position in addition, which is certain to hurt Winston's worth.
Dallas is asking for Free to reduce his pay
Doug Free is set to earn $7 million in 2013. and a the maximum that is $10.02 million. For the Cowboys it's quite a lot, particularly considering that Free was among the worst-penalized offensive tackle in Madden NFL 24 last season. Dallas wants to recruit Winston to fill in the position, with Free playing inside to protect. However, though the team has requested Free to take a pay cut, there's no incentive to make the move, given the fact that his cap limit will stay the same if they let him go.
Saints re-sign De La Puente
The emergence of Brian De La Puenta as a top-of-the-line center has proved an excellent development for the Saints However, the two teams are not able to agree regarding a long-term deal so far. As of Tuesday night, they signed him to a one-year contract that's worth $2.023 million. It's smart money is being put on to find an extension in the coming season.
Colb pays bills ... at least in part.
On Tuesday, the contract numbers for quarterback Kevin Kolb trickled out, and there was some understanding of the initial reported $15 million agreement. The reality is that Kolb's contract is only guaranteed $1 million, with a base salary of $6.1 million. He could make $13 million, but only if he's the primary player and has plenty of incentives and escalators. You can read Buffalo Rumblings to learn more details on the Bills.
The opening stage of this year's Madden NFL 24 Playoffs are set to finish with what's likely to be by all accounts, the best match of the year. There is a huge game for the Seattle Seahawks, playing perhaps the most exciting soccer in league will travel across the country to play Washington Redskins. Washington Redskins, winners of their seven previous games. Much of the focus heading into the game will focus focused on the head-to head matchup between two rookie quarterbacks, Robert Griffin III and Russell Wilson. Both have made their arguments for Madden NFL 24's rookie of The Year honor, but a win during the afternoon game on Sunday Maryland will surely be the biggest reward.
With the Seahawks' dominance of the final month and dominance in the final month of the season, the Seahawks will be road favorites against the NFC East champs. But all five of their defeats this season took place on the road. RGIII will have had the rest of a week to repair his knee injury. He was the 2010 Heisman recipient was clearly limited during the Redskins last two games in the regular season. He was wearing a the bulky knee brace which hindered his speed when running in the backfield. Wilson avoided significant injury in the first season but increased his efficiency each week in order to keep the Seahawks moving forward as the postseason begins.
Meet the Redskins
The Redskins are entering the postseason with an unbeaten streak of seven games, coming back from a 3-3 record during their bye time to climb towards the very top of NFC East. Griffin has completely changed their fortunes, gaining a team which hadn't made it to a postseason appearance since 2006 The team was one of the more boring offenses in the Madden NFL 24. In the first week, RGIII became a sensation and enthralled the Saints in Week 1 , and later leading as an unnamed captain in the final stretch.
Mike and Kyle Shanahan dramatically altered their offense to adapt to the skills of RGIII, making use of the pistol as well as the zone-read option. Chris Brown highlighted the offensive adjustments in Washington, and the Redskins did it with perfection against Dallas to seal victory on the final night of the season. Griffin is averaging seven yards of yards per run using the zone-read, and even wearing a knee brace, it was still able to make space at the edges against the Cowboys. Although he's still not at 100 per cent, Shanahan and RG3 have selected the right places to force the defense to take a decision and is athletic enough to pick up yardage even when he's not at full speed.
Of course, RGIII isn't the only rookie to score yards by grabbing huge chunks of the backfield. In his debut season, Alfred Morris has been a remarkably productive running back, and the sixth-round pick made the spotlights during the season finale. Morris scored a record-breaking 200 yards performance against the Cowboys while setting the Redskins single-season rushing record. He ended the season by rushing for 1.613 miles -just Adrian Peterson had more -and scored 13 touchdowns, including seven in the final four games. The rookie bursts through holes and then quickly moves on the other side of the defense, fitting perfectly in the Redskins new offensive. The duo of rookies led Washington to the best rush offense in Madden NFL 24 with an average of 169.3 yards per game.
It was the Redskins defense was the primary reason for the slow start of 3-6. but even Jim Haslett's group improved over the second part of the season in Washington's postseason push. Washington regularly smashed opponents on Sunday night and stopped Dallas to just 18 points and limited the passing attack that brought the Cowboys at the brink of the playoffs. But, the Redskins secondary is still insecure with a record of 281.9 yards per game- 30th in the league. Wilson will be given the chance to take shots down the field and must find the safety up front to resist the blitz pressure Haslett will likely unleash.
At the opposite end of the spectrum, the Redskins are among the top of the league in defending the rush. The ageless London Fletcher has been nursing an ankle injury during the second half of the season. However, Fletcher is the leader of a defense that can hold teams to 95.8 yards. As with Washington however, the Seahawks are playing one of the top rush games in the Madden NFL 24. led by a variety of options with Wilson and Marshawn Lynch. Fletcher also and his defense will have to reduce Seattle on the field or else Wilson could expose a fragile secondary through playaction.
Meet the Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks enter the postseason as the team that people don't want to play after dominating this league in five victories in December. They boast one of the most effective defenses in Madden NFL 24 and Wilson's progress throughout the season resulted in a true dual-threat and well-balanced offense as the regular season ended.
Seattle's defense ranks in top 10 against both the run and pass. The Seahawks keep a constant pressure up into the middle and away from the edge, rattling opposing quarterbacks who serve it to a solid secondary. Chris Clemons and rookie Bruce Irvin could make up the league's busiest pair of edge rushers, using their speed to reach the quarterback. Red Bryant and Brandon Mebane make it difficult for the interior to be cleared and often push into the backfield. There will be a lot of work for Washington to block a Seattle front seven that could represent a significant improvement from the front seven that the Redskins defeated last Sunday night.
Given RGIII's limitations in mobility, Washington must be able to fend off Seattle via the air. But the Seahawks possess one of the top defensive backfields in Madden NFL 24 with a team which is led by Richard Sherman, who will be available following the appeal to overturn a Madden NFL 24 exile. Sherman is the leader of the team with eight interceptions . Sherman could be playing against Pierre Garcon, Washington's biggest threat outside the numbers. Garcon has provided a huge improvement to the Redskins passing game, coming off a foot injury and producing a variety of huge plays down the stretch. But Sherman as well as the secondary and the pass rush in front are a different challenge for RGIII.
As the No. 2 overall selection, Griffin received much of the attention of the nation early in the season, but Wilson's performance matches his performance down the stretch. The Seahawks called things conservatively early in the season, but Wilson scored big plays when he was called upon. Over the second half, Wilson has become a proficient player in the pocket as well as on the run, keeping defensive players at bay and building a connection and a rapport with Sidney Rice and Golden Tate. He isn't prone to errors and finished the season with 26 touchdown passes, and only 10 interceptions.
Like Griffin, Wilson is also an opponent on the ground, no matter whether it's a planned move or by scrambling. Wilson averaged more than five yards per carry during the season and added four touchdowns on the rushing route. But it's Lynch who's the engine in the backfield, averaging five yards per run with the second-highest number of chances in league. Similar to Wilson, Lynch rarely coughs his way to victory, only losing two fumbles during the year. A positive turnover margin is often the easiest way to win on the road however, Lynch and Wilson both Lynch and Wilson never give up on it.
local Takes Redskins
Hogs Haven breaks down the plot of Haslett to repeatedly take down the Cowboys and wonders what else could be in store for Seattle:
We required Jim Haslett and his defense to unite and bring us into the playoffs.
The game plan defensive coordinator Haslett put together was certainly smart, but it was executed perfectly and left Tony Romo and the Cowboys stupefied. The Redskins made blitz upon blitz in effort to get to Romo before he could make play. Sometimes they would disguise a blitz with similar looks however, at other times they weren't trying to hide it at all.
The Local Views Seahawks
Kenneth Arthur of Field Gulls examines the Seahawks end to the season and looks forward to Washington:
I am sure that Madden NFL 24 is going to forget the Seahawks once more and instead pick the Redskins Their Player of the YearRobert Griffin III, as well as their seven straight wins over Seattle. Please , do not count as the Seahawks out. That's exactly what this team is all about. You and I are Seattle supporters. We were born with chipped shoulders. We don't have anything handed to us. Also, neither was Richard Sherman, or Wilson, as well as Doug Baldwin, or Brandon Browner. A close game? A 90-yard drive is needed to score the crucial touchdown? Griffin is winning the NFC buy madden 24 coins East on national television? Phew!
